At Sweeney Foot & Ankle Specialists, we are dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate podiatric care to patients throughout the North Houston area. Led by Dr. D. Sean Sweeney, DPM, and Dr. Christy Leahey, DPM, our practice offers comprehensive foot and ankle treatment in two state-of-the-art locations: The Woodlands (in the Indian Springs Shopping Center) and Magnolia (near the intersection of FM 1488 and FM 2978).
Meet Our Specialists
Dr. Sean Sweeney is a board-certified foot and ankle specialist with advanced training in lower-extremity peripheral nerve medicine. He provides specialized treatment for neuropathy, heel pain, and tarsal tunnel syndrome, along with a revolutionary new procedure for treating toenail fungus and warts—without oral medications or anesthesia.
Dr. Sweeney has a particular interest in peripheral neuropathy and other nerve disorders. He is one of approximately 450 surgeons worldwide trained by renowned Johns Hopkins University professor and surgeon A. Lee Dellon, M.D. Training directly under Dr. Dellon in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Sweeney mastered advanced surgical techniques designed to restore sensation and relieve pain associated with certain types of peripheral neuropathy. These delicate procedures are performed under loupe magnification using microsurgical instrumentation and technique.
As one of only a handful of surgeons in the North Houston area trained in these highly advanced procedures, Dr. Sweeney treats diabetic peripheral neuropathy as well as many other forms of nerve-related conditions. He also serves as a surgical instructor and proctor, training fellow surgeons in these specialized techniques.
Dr. Christy Leahey brings exceptional skill and a patient-centered approach to our practice, partnering with Dr. Sweeney to deliver the highest standard of foot and ankle care.
